Going back up for the last climb

Going back up for the last climb

Why not squeeze whatever is left out of a tough season of training?  The last 3 weeks has felt more like 5 going into this weekends Vancouver Half Ironman.   Dam near in the guts of the city of Vancouver, houses what they call the most Urban Triathlon.  I have done this race in the past and look forward to do it for the third time.  A lot has changed since I did it back in 2011 and will be looking for some huge time gains and the post ironman fatigue has burned off.

Early morning starts, get some pretty good early morning shots! 6am in 2011 race.

3 weeks out from Ironman Couer D’alene has provided a bit of a new challenge, with trying to figure out how to keep the body going but happy at the same time.  I’m interested to see how the body reacts so soon after.  Looking forward to it, but not looking forward to the 6:30 start time.

This race is also a part of the series that I raced earlier in the year on Vancouver Island in May of this year.  They do a pretty good job of setting these up and I kinda enjoy the smaller crows once in while from the mass starts of Ironman.
