::Project Headboard::

Over the years our company takes on jobs which require demo work, sometimes it is a house, fences, decks, which in turn,  means a lot of old and aged wood.  The last project I did (kitchen table) was from the roof of the house we knocked down.  The idea for this headboard came from old blue painted fences panels that I’ve been storing for years.

After completing the kitchen table,  I had  a bit of drive to finally knock this one off the list.  Did a few drawings of what I hoped it would look like, and the end result wasn’t close at all.  I ended up going for a horizontal design that I felt worked a lot better..

Materials for this project: was 1 red cedar post,  2 lamps, 1 piece of 1×6 cedar, and 2 pieces of 1×3. All work pieces were 8 feet long, and of course the blue fence panels that were about 6 feet long by 5 and half inches.  Cedar as well.

Quick shot before I added the front boards. I originally had them going the other direction but liked the look with the panels running horizontal.
