::Added motivation-17 Hours to Glory::

My last triathlon race of 2012 will end in Kona on Oct 13th. Kona will be my 3rd full distance ironman with 2 half distance races. After completing Ironman Canada I had a hard time wrapping my head around doing another full distance event. After a few weeks of light training and a lot of reading, I feel that the fire is slowly getting lit. What often really helps get the engine going is a good book.

Back in May I had solo flight out to Las Vegas for Ironman St George and on my way to the airport I stopped at the book store. I wondered around and dove into the sports section and found a few interesting books. One really stuck out for me, and after I bought it was very hard to put down. Its called 17 Hours to Glory: Extraordinary Stories from the Heart of Triathlon. Its basically about the best Ironman stories at Kona. 17 stories for the 17 hours that competitors have to complete the crazy race. I would highly recommend this book to any Ironman or triathlete. Very inspiring and perfect for some pre-Kona taper downtime reading.

    No synopsys, or reason why it’s good?

      Out of the 17 stories every story has its own amazing script. If your into Ironman racing you will know that there are some great athletes and story lines that come out of Kona. This book has them all and more.
